Square Product Photography
A two-day in-studio shoot to build a flexible library of product photography for use across Square's channels.

The shoot was photographed by Terence Bordon, with me on art direction. The prep was just as much a part of the work as the shoot itself. In collaboration with set designer David Storm, who built out 3D models for each set, I put together a detailed shot list with every prop and setup defined before we walked in. That groundwork kept production tight and gave us room to shoot more than we'd originally planned.

I developed three color palettes, one each for retail, food and beverage, and beauty. Each set leans into one color (green, blue, or blush), letting the Square hardware stand out. Each vertical has its own color world, but the library feels cohesive as a whole.

The photos are still in use across Square's website and channels today.
